Description

A small-sided game that helps players stop bunching by giving them more than one way to score. Instead of attacking one central goal, each team attacks two wide goals, encouraging players to look up, spread out, switch direction, and find open space. It is simple, game-like, and keeps every player involved with no lines or waiting time, which fits the content strategy’s focus on short attention spans, small-sided games, and practical solutions to bunchball.

Create a small field with two mini goals or cone goals on each end line, placed wide apart. Divide players into 3v3 or 4v4 teams. If uneven players, add a neutral player who is always on the attacking team.

Suggested area:

  1. 3v3: 10x15 meters up to 15x20 meters
  2. 4v4: 15x20 meters up to 20x30 meters

Coaching Points

  1. Look up before you dribble. Can you see which goal has more space?
  2. Spread out to help. Can you move away from the crowd so your teammate can pass to you?
  3. When your team has the ball, try to use the width of the field.
  4. If one side is blocked, turn or pass toward the other goal.
